Could you do a video on best practice for shifting gears in a manual car (both on track and street). Examples like when to shift down into lower gears before corners, when (if ever) it's appropriate to coast with clutch in or in neutral. Also is it true that when stationary (e.g. stop lights) it's best to have a manual car in neutral as the pressure plate and throw out bearing are designed for in/out pressure rather than constant pressure? That's what I was taught once but my 86 doesn't seem to like it since rapid change into from neutral into first is often met with a not very nice sounding clunk.

I've been doing all the right ones but 9 and 3 for a while now, good to know. Is there anything wrong with shuffling the wheel? Apparently I just do that all the time, even at the rally day
