Neo is finally shown eating noodles at his favourite noodles shop which he mentions to Trinity on the way to meet the oracle in the first Matrix movie. There are tons of other Easter Eggs still not mentioned.

Did anyone else get the fact that Trinity says she and a friend build motorcycles? It’s a nod to the fact that Keanu actually builds motorcycles with his friend. Arch motorcycles is his company. In fact the guy that plays Trinity’s friend is Actually Keanus business partner at Arch Motorcycles!

The meta part is literally Lana explaining to us why they went ahead with Matrix 4, because if she didn't do it, Warner was going to do it without them and so she took the role so that someone else wouldn't mess with it or do their own take. She almost canceled it because she didn't really want to do it and there were setbacks due to the panademic.

Did anyone else notice how bad of a shot all of the “bad guys” are in this movie? It’s like agents couldn’t hit a target 5 feet in front of them lol

1:20 - Wrong. The truce between man and machines is not broken. There is no war. That's why Io exists. The Matrix continued to exist after part 3. Those that wished to be freed would be freed. But The Matrix has been upgraded to the point where no one questions it and everyone is a blue pill.

The fact that Neo wasn't as strong speaks to the power of the new Matrix (a metaphor that I'll let you figure out) and also to the fact that Neo's powers are tied to Trinity and their love for one another.

Trinity flies at the end because Neo activates their anomalous code when he kisses her (as she did him in the first Matrix)

A lot of dialogue was about Lana Wachowski’s relationship with Warner Brothers.

Also, the key shop in the beginning is most surly a nod to the key maker from the trilogy.

Also 01 was the first machine city, so Io could be a human/machine friendly reference to that.

Steve Skroce Easter egg: the barista name was Skroce. Steve Skroce was the artist for the marvel comic book series that the Wachoski wrote in the 90’s calles EctoKid. He was also the story board artist for the matrix

Correction: swarm mode only affects bots in new matrix that are numerous because they are used to induce emotional instability in humans thus making them produce more energy for machines

My biggest beef with this movie is that Hugo Weaving didn't return to play his boss

There was absolutely no reason to bring back the Merovingian

Two Easter eggs you didn’t mention: In the background of Smith’s office is a bust which, even though it’s always out of focus, you can tell is Agent Smith when his face is being distorted by the slow mo punch to his jaw. And the Blue Morpho in the analyst’s office is a strong blue pill reference just like his more obvious glasses.

You say "Neo is no longer The One". But he was never The One. That was revealed in the second movie to be a fiction. A method of control for those minds that wanted to escape The Matrix to give them the illusion of freedom. What Neo is is the integral anomaly and what we find out in M4 is that he was the integral anomaly of all integral anomalies.

IF the Theory is that Neo needs Trinity to have Powers, and its absolute from using them in the Matrix, Then how do you explain, Buggs telling Neo she looked up and saw him leap out of the building and not fall? He clearly had the powers while Trinity was still in the Pod...

This movie could have been so much more, but it was a serious let down. The action was cut so badly.

In Smith's office there's a bust of Hugo Weaving's face as he's getting punched by Neo all distorted & comical!
