🤔 Kamala Harris has proposed a tax on unrealized gains, which could have significant implications for homeowners with a lot of equity. This proposal could force people to pay taxes on their unrealized gains—equity that hasn’t been cashed out yet. While the policy is still in the proposal stages, it’s stirring up quite a bit of discussion.

What do you think—should this tax be approved or not? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! 👇

Bad because American Tax history shows that they will lower the minimum limit to reap the maximum!

Bad - they’ve shown us what they do with our taxes

This proposal is only applicable to individuals worth over 100 million dollars (as you did state briefly in the middle of this video). If this were to become law the income parameters could not be changed without changing the law. It would likely not pass anyway, but if it did it would only impact the extremely wealthy.

I'm against it. That tax will only go into pockets. Politicians pockets. How is it there only here to serve U.S citizens. But during their terms they become multi millionaires . Embezzlement and insider trading. If I'm wrong, who the hell is going to audit them?

No the biggest fear is that all those people will take that money out and move it all to foreign investors. So the people with the most amount of money will take their money out of the country. How does that help the US?? I'll tell you right now it doesn't. There's no possible way this will help the US.

In principle the less tax the better, the less taxes and government the more choise you as an individual have

It's bad regardless of the cap, if you tax unrealized gains no company has any incentive to grow

Saying the bar is set for those making that and what they may actually do is another.

It only applies to people who have $100M or more in assets.

This is not impacting. It only applies to those with 100 million or more in wealth. So its the top 1% not the middle class. It is not going to drop down to the middle class paying mortgages. The wealthy are that way on the backs of the working people. I am a 64 year old male paying 28% tax on my federal income and am no where even remotely close to being a millionaire. But, I have worked hard to be debt free and have paid my share all of my working years. I know that some of the wealthy donate, run large corporations that provide jobs, but honestly that is a fraction of the wealthy. I think it is about time all the wealthy do whatever they can to get the country that made them wealthy out of debt and help provide a more prosperous union... You know be American.

For all the I'm not rich so it doesn't effect me crowd. Those that are rich invest, that drives the economy and creates jobs. You think they just sit on cash? You think the government is smarter at investment than someone who built a huge business? Do you like your job?, do you like retirement investment accounts to grow so people can eventually retire?, do you like the US being strong enough to have a military capable of protecting you? Please understand economics and capitalism. The country was not and can not survive as a socialist system with crippling taxes on even the rich. They will stop doing business here.

It won't affect regular people. But it is stealing money from people. Who would want to do business with people like that.
