Unrealized gain on your house, should not be levied at the federal level, since you pay realty tax to your county, city, parrish, or municipality.? So this is double taxation. No good! Imo.

Is this going to be applied to housing? Those owning houses will be forced to sell to pay the tax. Renting? Well your rent will be going up significantly! The landlord will simply pass the tax bill on to the renter. This will cause a lot of people to be homeless. We can all live in our cars.
