David Cameron doesn't regret calling Brexit referendum

Britain's former Prime Minister David Cameron said on January 16 he fully supported Prime Minister Theresa May as she faces a confidence vote after her Brexit deal was rejected in parliament by a huge margin.

The confidence motion was called by opposition Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn after lawmakers rejected May's deal by 432-202. It will be held at 1900 GMT.

Cameron also told reporters that he had no regrets over calling the June 2016 referendum, the result of which led him to resign as prime minister.

May is expected to hold on to power through the confidence vote, having secured the backing of her own party's rebels and its Northern Irish allies.

There is a lesson for all of us here, Cameron and co. were pretending they were statesmen and that were worthy of our trust when all they really were was spoiled public schoolboys put in place to enable tax cuts and clear a way for the city yet again.
They were NEVER supposed to actually DO something, and when they did they just made a mess of things. Like the joke chancellor he picked that once started on a disgraceful path was too arrogant to listen to the experts that told him it was going to be a disaster. They were just not equipped for their positions.
Out of the 3 public schoolboys chums Boris is by far the best because he is just exactly what it says on the tin, a bit of a silly "oaf" without any pretensions and not wanting {or being able to } sound like he actually knew anything about what he was doing. Boris and his bus influenced millions wrongly and he made a poor, desperate woman's case for release far worse because he just didnt know any better and Cameron did the same when he started this Brexit farce in motion.
This was the most honest I have ever seen David Cameron, but he knows now that he has his place in the history books and it is nothing like he thought it would be. He must thank God that he is a millionaire because know one with any sense would employ him in any capacity where he was called upon to actually make right decisions.

David Cameron has put the largest ever sword in the UK's side, just on a gamble. He should have to answer to that.

Run David Run. You can't run away from the mess you created forever. You sure you don't regret it? I'm not so sure. Say that with a straight face when we actually have a hard no deal brexit.

what an idiotic stance...leave or remain, as if it was that simple. and he has not accepted responsibility for the fact that the UK is now in chaos...

So from what I can gather is the man promised the country a vote on an issue of long held importance. People voted. In some cases because they genuinely believed what they believed, or in some other cases for a laugh. Now that voters have to accept the consequences of their actions, they choose to blame the man who simply gave them the choice.

Brexit is not David Cameron's fault. It is the fault of British voters.

As far as I'm concerned he has nothing to regret. He called the vote, he supported the remain side, he lost and he resigned.

Sovereignty should always be with the consent of the people. Whether you want to be governed by Brussels, London or another body, you should respect this fundamental pillar of democracy.

The people voted to get our or the EU. We voted out! Not arguments in parliament. Our parliament meets to honour what the people want. Not to argue about it. ! We need to get out . We don't want to be ruled by Brussels and people who are not even elected by any people.
