Metal Shark is made for those waves. Self-righting boat....I think that's a WIN for boats!!

2:26 Amazing how people will put themselves through a horrendous situation and NEVER give up their phone to save their lives with that extra hand.

So can we just hold here at 1:01. I count three 300 Mercs on the stern. Yet in the thumb nail description indicates 2 engines for 2400 hp. I think that would be loss for the creator.
The Formula was a win, that boat ate that up almost like it was on a demo run. Wait, notice the Formula flag on the mast, lack of reg numbers. That was just a run to show a prospect how well the boat handles big water. Hate to call it but the creator takes another loss on this one.

#3 should get the win. Sometimes I go out of Haulover just for a quick ride and turn around for fun, especially when I have friends visit who never go into the ocean. I do this so they can seen what it is like without taking them out and beating them up all day.

I think that conquering the waves AND wisely deciding to turn around in a day like that deserves a win. No sense in rewarding recklessness in bad weather.

The fire department boats and rescue boats ride like that because they are designed to ride bow low, the rear 1/3 of the hull is designed to produce suction or “downforce”, this causes the bow to ride low and this gives them FAR better penetration into waves and lets them ride more level. This is critical to their ability to handle storm conditions. This also makes them FAR more enjoyable than most boats when driving into common 4’ rolling swells at high speed. In fact the company that makes these boats has started making these for private boaters and a sort of ultra safe adventure day boat, fishing oriented etc. it makes them a great option since they are comfortable, built to make piloting a boat the best experience it can be. 100% would consider one if it was ever in my budget, especially with 2 or 3 Verado V12 600’s. Absolutely monsters. Carve through water like nothing else for its size.

Watched a few of yours from 4-5 years ago. Much more enthusiasm now and much more enjoyable. Thanks for keeping me smiling!

!st boat is designed with a bow step that opens so the dive crew or rescue crew can get on and off with tanks or retrieving what ever. Very ingenious design.

always fun videos. so happy to see a new one. i can't believe paddleboarders and paddlers that are in the middle of this traffic. if one should get run over, is it the boat's fault then? seems like it should be the paddler's fault, like someone riding a bicycle in 60mph traffic.

From a retired captain:
Most vessel's can handle it but the people can't.

I agree. Metal Shark enjoys stuffing the bow and powering through. Win for the boats.

That fire boat definitely gets the win. They go out rescue other people, and they are super dry inside the boat. The water rolls right off of it like a ducks feathers.

Wong today! 3 is a win for being a smart captain!

With #2, sitting is the worst; as the boat comes down, if you’re sitting, you can compress your spine. The BEST way to deal with rough waters like this is to stand, hold on tight and watch the water and let your knees take the bumps. Having sea legs makes this a piece of cake.

Always seems to be a lot of folks just out in the middle of the inlet on SUPs and other smallish items including surfboards etc. How often does that cause issues/rescues?

That metal boat is walking through those waves. The drivers are on air ride, suspension seats. They probably feel nothing inside there, sipping on coffee
