I think Robert Shaw just like taking the piss out of Dreyfus. I’m sure that Dreyfus knew he was outmatched both physically and talent-wise, and it bruised his fragile ego. Regardless, to my eyes the casting in “JAWS” was perfect, and I wouldn’t have wanted to see anyone else in the roles they played.

I would have fired Richard Dreyfus and kept Robert Shaw ! Robert Shaw was a well known actor and Dreyfus was basically starting out so no matter what, he should have shown some respect to Mr. Shaw ! 😔😔😔😢😢😢

The shark doesn't look fake at all, he just looks like a unique great white or a sub species of GW, it gives him a identity & his own character hence why he has his own name (Bruce) he doesn't move like a animatronic much either because of the way the film is shot & edited plus it's a real animal that moves the exact same way in real life in the water so it's pretty simple & straight forward on how to work a animatronic fish in water!!!! It actually still looks good to this day so don't get Bruce confused with any of the sharks they used in the sequel films or any other animatronic shark in a movie because Bruce is a unique character on his own & that's proved by younger audiences falling in love with this film which they would never do if it felt really that dated!!! It looks like a shark & moves like a shark which isn't hard to do when u think about it 👍 even the fake fin that the kids used as a prank in the film would have u spoofed if they chose to use that cardboard fin in the film as the real shark so point being...this is one animatronic & animal that works regardless as long as its made to look like a real animal & it does even if it looks a bit different than a normal GW, Bruce isn't supposed to look normal, he looks the way he's supposed to look & that is as a unique movie character unlike all other shark films that exist & don't give the sharks in they're films any type of a identity 👍
