Displacement: exploring the human experience of forced migration, Trinity Elective Dr Rachel Hoare, School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies describes how this Elective uses a multidisciplinary approach to provide a theoretical, practical and experiential understanding of the different causes and impacts of forced migration globally and a comprehensive and up to date analysis of historical and contemporary issues in the field. In this Elective you will engage in face to face lectures which will provide an overview of the advanced concepts, theories and debates in the field. If you want to learn about historical and contemporary issues in the field of forced migration and to understand the different global causes and impacts, as well as learn about the impact of trauma and the development of coping strategies and resilience by those who have been displaced, from researchers, practitioners, supportive agencies and those who have lived through this experience, then this is the Trinity Elective for you.
