Sonic Origins Review - GOOD But Could Be Better

We've had Sonic Origins for a month now, and after giving it plenty of playthroughs, I think it's finally time for me to give my verdict on it.

Here is my attempt at a review for Sonic Origins! Nothing fancy here, but I hope you find my input meaningful!

I agree with your review of Origins and I think if Sega delayed Origins, It will be very good and polished but I don't mind the glitches in the game alongside with the Proto Tracks in Sonic 3 but I hope MJ would license the final tracks that were composed by MJ to Sega but Your Review of Origins is amazing and I am excited for what's next on your YouTube Channel.

I couldn't agree more. It's a nice collection for having the classics as wide-screen versions on consoles, but misses a lot of opportunities and has a lot of mistakes as well. I'm mad that classic mode is just anniversary mode but 4:3 ratio and I also wish they had game gear games as extras. Nice review!

I’m just happy that sonic 3 & knuckles has been re-released for the first time in a decade, even tho the music is a bit of a let-down. (Although the super theme sounds so botched like wtf) It was still pretty scummy of SEGA to just release the game like this.

Overall, as the owner of the Switch version, I liked being able to take a lot of the great music tracks wherever I wanted, especially those Sonic Symphony arrangements, and I thought the music changes in Sonic 3 weren't as bad as the rest of the Internet made it out to be (I still love humming Carnival Night: Act 2), but I can't justify a rush job! Sonic CD and Sonic 1 are still kinda terrible, but Sonic 3 & Knuckles was a blast to return to, and I definitely hope folks who haven't played it before can give it a try in this updated form!

For me Origins is great but flawed I loved all the remasters, the glitches are kind of annoying but tolerable, the missions are great, wish there were save files in 1, 2, and CD and being able to play the stages when you finish the game, multiplayer was fine but online would’ve been fun, museum was great but should’ve had more, more classic games, knuckles in CD and maybe Amy playable no metal we had to much for metal recently, more features for the 3D islands, and I loved the cutscenes. Overall I had a great time and I loved it. Great review by the way

Edit: Also the new music in 3&K I like more than the MJ tracks but the prototypes are way better except the new super sonic one it’s mediocre

honestly if it was either Amy or metal who was playable I'd pick metal as he has a more obvious way and he could be used like as a way to get used to the layouts without badniks (so basically baby mode) but make it so he can't spindash

The other reason why the tracks were changed, despite him being found not guilty in 2005, it was mainly over the child sexual abuse allegations surrounding Michael Jackson in 1993

i enjoy sonic origins today they recieved a patch who fixed the tails bug in sonic 2

Shame on SEGA for this one. Not a bad game by any stretch, but the little things that shouldn’t be there like the new glitches and the need for these patches is all because of SEGA’s scummy business practices…this company is sabotaging itself from the inside

SEGA are to blame for rushing, bad marking and every time they keep repeating history (very likely keep rushing new games during development) they’re doom to fail

Just in case you don’t know there’s an even easier way to get coins just use debug mode in sonic 1 or sonic2

Sonic Forces do not have multiplayer whatsoever, so yeah...

Forces had online learderboards but cheaters completely ruïned it with their beat the stage instantly cheats
