Feel like we’re seeing more of this because there honestly wasn’t enough of the Lich. He deserves his own spin off

Fun fact about the Lichs’ death, there’s a split second when his bones are broken and immediately fixed which means that he is trying to repair himself before Golb eventually kills him, and Golb didn’t need to break all his bones, he chose to do that.

This is like a storybook flashback where the lich talks about being sealed away for thousands of years or somthin. Excellent vibes.

this plays like a flash back to the opening of a video game about the lich, its really cool.

if the next thing we see is some scrawny dude pre mushroom bomb it wouldn't shock me.

In hindsight, though, Simon Petrikov is somehow this one ordinary human who has survived a thousand years, and at the end of his journey he witnesses the end of a god of death and entropy at the hands of a multidimensional god... and he doesn't even flinch.

I love this art style and just love the cuts along with the music, keep up the great work

Honestly, Looking at Golb in this way, there was a missed opportunity to show Golb as a different medium, something on the lines of CGI or stopmotion. It would have helped with the chuthulu parallels with showing how above he his, along with creating more of a horror the character has. Not to mention the animators could have fun blending the adventure time style with a different medium, since it wouldn't cost much due to how sparingly the character was used throughout the show.
