Oh man..this is easy and hard ..if only George gave director control for these Star Wars movies and he was the creative side ..it would have matched Lord of The Ring..but overall Lord of the Rings series are much better in term of story and acting and emotional aspect...Stars Wars are good creative but the acting of the story telling are too child like ..like there isn't any emotion to the story overall ...hence I had watch Lord of the Rings more time than Star wars..LOTR. Seen it about 450 times..Steward Wars only 75 times

LOTR is the best trilogy and different characters made it the best (Sauron, Aragorn...) But there is this truth in Star Wars: he is the best character in movie history and one of the top 3 villains (Sauron, Vader, Joker). The whole story is based on him. Without Anakin or Vader, Star Wars would have reached half of its current popularity.

when it comes to power I would say without the force, lord of the rings could hold there own against the power of Star Wars. and I agree lord of the rings has a better story. also I think Music should be equal, both are so good but I feel like star wars has slightly better music imo.

Lotr gets everything, this is not even a debate.

The only Trilogy comparable to Lotr are Dark Knight and Godfather; and somehow the gap is still too much.

LOTR; for those who understand and appreciate art, escapade and magic, watch Cinema with hearts instead of their eyes; would see this Trilogy unprecented, life-changing and eternally satisfying... The greatest piece of Fiction that was ever thought of and created.
