Have you read "The Bluest Eye" by Toni Morrison? In my opinion, it is even more of an emotionally challenging read content-wise, but it is one of my favorite books! If you haven't checked it out, I'd definitely recommend reading it soon!

Great review. I think its so frustrating to you because you actually 'get it.' These types of conversations are what starts the healing process in our broken country. The horrors of slavery in America affected its victims and the oppressors, and its descendants on both sides.
