Hello there. I’ve been watching some of your power electronics videos and I’m wondering what’s the best/most energy efficient way to do soft starts and stops on DC converters. Like, I think I’ve got a good grasp now of how to do soft switching so that the losses are minimized, and of how to do synchronous switching so that I’m not dissipating power through a diode half of the time. But the peaks of current that happen at startup (and similar transients at shutdown) bother me.
