Twitter @farzyness

I worked at Tesla starting in July of 2017 as an Operations Analyst out of the Bethlehem, PA distribution center facility and left as a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX as of September 2021. I spent most of my time in the distribution and supply chain organizations.

Before Tesla, I was a Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at the largest Pet Food & Supply distributor in the US, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies based out of Easton, PA. My wife and I also owned a small business in Bethlehem, PA between 2016 and 2019.

My thoughts are my own and are not representative of everyone who currently works, or has worked at Tesla.

My engineer husband would always tell me "I don't have time for this meeting I have work to do." If he worked for Twitter now he'd be saying, "Game on." Jeannine

When I was part of an engineering management team I used to tell the rest of the managers that WE worked for the shop floor, not the other way round.
I was invariably met with blank expressions or the shake of a head.
Lazy management is what holds industry back, not lazy employees.

I want to show this to my employer. We are running with procedures from the 80s and I’m not allowed to question why.

100% agree. Speaking from my own engineering experience, companies usually hold people back for various reasons and they get used to work in slow mode.

Hello, I am grateful to you for your attention and your time in creating this wonderful video about Elon Musk! As an old man in his late 70's I often ask myself this question;... why do almost all of the Elon Musk " haters/naysayers " do not vision and did not vision what he sees? I wonder, is genius seeing where you are not looking?

Totally agree. Work sucks.
We need change that works, work that changes the world for better.
I faced the obstructionist old ways.
There is a lot of talent, we can be amazing.

The most important thing for any company should be not to let the workplace become a soul crushing dehumanizing nightmare.

I worked at Solar City! Was a great job! Learned a lot! So when people talk bad about him, I don’t get it! It was my first REAL job.. and like I said, I learned so many things! It was a great experience! I had direct access to him and he was always willing to listen

Recognise your strengths, but use the strengths of others to compensate for your weaknesses (with proper recognition)

excellent point on availability of talent and lack of companies that know how to inspire

I remember a senior project manager (high-rise construction company) who had a simple rule for his managers.
If they came into his office with a problem, he helped them once. If they came in again with a problem, he fired them.
He wanted managers who were problem solvers, and came to his office with a solution, not a problem.

You missed one principle: jump on the forklift whenever it's needed.🤣

Brilliant. Love it.

What do u say to people that have that right mindset but not domain experience? I.e. if someone wants to work for tweeter but have no experience in that kind of platform but are willing to learn.

If I was the CEO of a company and I noticed that Elon Musk was the Technoking of Tesla, that would have been a message well received. 🤖🧡

The kind of team spirit Elon has managed to maintain (I keep seeing that Tesla never sleeps; NO complacency) has to be MUCH harder to instill in the staff of Twitter, who likely lack the same level of commitment to their product as, say, a SpaceX employee has. IMO, Elon is out of his element in a social-media organization.
