So funny how nobody questions the Aztec pyramids. They know damn well a Mexican did all that

He is correct about the timelines. There is a great example. Most of the great European cathedrals took 100+ years to be fully build.

I also hate when people say “we could never build the pyramids with today’s technology”
we can build a crane that weighs 13, 000 tons. That crane can lift 4x the weight of the heaviest stone in the pyramids. And you know what else that crane can do? WALK! And we did that shit in the 1960s.

This is by far the most sensible and realistic thing I've heard about the pyramids

This reminds me of an alien theory i read, where they were on about how several ancient cultures across the world build pyramids without even knowing of each others existence and how this proves that they all must've learned it from the same aliens. One of the comments just went, "Or maybe they all simply discovered that this is just the most stable way to stack rocks.'

How do you explain the pyramids? Good math and a huge amount of non-OSHA protected manual labour.

Its crazy that some people rather believe aliens exist, came to earth, build something, and then left,
than humans dragging stones.

The great cathedrals and churches of Europe were built with little more than the Egyptians had. Aliens not required!

"Give me 100 years and 1, 000 people I'll build any damn thing" I love that😂

We have the same intellect we had 4000 years ago, that timespan is evolutionarily insignificant and so it’s ridiculous to say ”they were stupid, they couldn’t have done this”

“Clever people come in all colors.”

😂 I like that. That’s good.

Gimme 100 years, I can build anything without the help of aliens. That had me rolling, I love the way he stated it😂😂😂

In the words of miniminuteman, "theres only so many fuckin ways you can stack rocks"

The just figured out Roman concrete a few years ago which fixes itself. 90% of people these days can't build a rock wall.

The Great Pyramid took about 20 years to build. Around 20, 000 to 30, 000 skilled workers were involved. It is made of approximately 2.3 million stone blocks, each weighing between 2.5 to 15 tons. Most of the stones were quarried from nearby locations, with the majority coming from the Tura limestone quarries about 13 kilometers (8 miles) away, and the granite blocks from Aswan, over 800 kilometers (500 miles) to the south. The stones were transported mainly via the Nile River using boats and sledges. The pyramid is precisely aligned to true north, with a deviation of less than half a degree. Primitive tools like copper chisels and wooden sledges were used, but the level of precision was extremely high. The pyramid has stood for more than 4, 500 years, surviving earthquakes and harsh weather conditions.

With all these facts, it’s impossible to say that the pyramid’s survival is just a coincidence or to underestimate this monumental human achievement. It is the result of incredible engineering genius and precise organization.

Fun fact: the piramids were made by professionals, paid handsomely and fed with good food. So, efficiency was super high. The only problem was transporting the stone

The pyramids aren't just about some rocks
There is mathematical miracles
There are rooms and passages inside the pyramid there's many things you can't even imagine
Egyptians were really smart

I like how Niel does such a good job of guiding the listener to visualize what he's saying

"Give our species a freakin' credit for figuring some stuff out!"

A line I never thought I would hear some day. 😅
