I’m growing Swiss Chard for the first time. My little plants are growing just fine. I have been buying Swiss Chard for a long time. I like to use it in my smoothies and the days when I put everything in my juicer for a really nutritious juice. I put a few plants in my GreenStalk. I think I’m going to plant a few in containers like you did. Thanks as always for your awesome “Pro Tips”. Be Blessed and have an amazing Thursday🙏🏾

One of my swiss chard wintered over I misses when I pulled them so hubby could put the garden to bed.
When there is an abundance I rinse, fan dry, stack and roll them up to freeze them.
When stems are hard I remove them and munch and spit out the tuff fiber. Napkin comes in handy, lol.
Tastes a little like rhubarb. Hubby wanted building up edge of garden so I've not planted any yet. We're in our mid 70's so I don't push or rush.

I love swiss chard. My spinach always bolts. How often do you fertilize. Nitrogen only?

I always try my veggies raw before considering cooking them. I do not care for these raw. I do a quick sautee with it mixed in with collard greens for a quick meal.
