The rubber ring on the new filter, always rub some oil on it before installing.
And you didn't check the dip stick after turning on the vehicle. Might need add oil or drain some.

Some cars you gotta replace the seal on the drain plug depending on what the material is, also make sure it's on flat ground

Make sure the O ring comes off the old filter, and rub oil on the new O ring on the new filter, otherwise it could leak.
