Sometimes I imagine myself just getting some kind of tool and slicing the sore out in exchange of a bit of blood lost

I keep licking it and pushing it against my teeth. It is painful but the pain is like, good...

I’ve been suffering from cankers sores since I was 8 and they have only gotten bigger in size and in number now being a college student. It’s gotten to the point it’s effecting me in school and work. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone even if I dislike them☹️

I've had a total of 6 canker sores THIS MONTH, I feel another one coming now too.
I haven't been able to eat well, brush my teeth well, talk, smile, yawn, and overall move my mouth.

I've endured these for forty years.
1. The best ointment for relief for me has been Zilactin-B (not Zilactin-A). I've tried the rest, nothing worked. Dry the sore with cotton, apply a decent amount, let it air-dry in your mouth til the ointment goes light brown/grey and dry.
2. I'm convinced that consuming too much sugar causes them (cookies, chewing gum, chocolate, Snapple etc.

The funniest thing is I have ulcers on my tongue, lips, roof of my mouth, basically everywhere. I can barely drink, water mostly (even it hurts) and I can't chew food properly with out having pain, almost had this for a week now.

I had recurring canker sores for 20+ years, average 1 a week. Lived in constant irritation. On a dentists vitamin advice, I ate Marmite twice a week on toast. Marmite has B12, folate, iron and zinc plus other B vitamins. Been free from canker sores food over a year. Also cut out sugar which may have helped.

You have no idea of the meaning of pain, until you have two large mouth ulcers on the sides of your tongue. You literally cannot speak becuase of the pain.

All these comments were very helpful. It's also comforting to know that it's not only me; I thought something's very wrong with me getting it every month since high school and now I'm in my mid-20s and still suffering from it every month. I know from before I'm lacking from Vitamin B12 and this is one of the result; I'll try some suggestions here. Also, will try to avoid toothpastes with sodium laurel sulfate.

I get canker sores almost every month. Drives me freaking nuts. I just put salt on it which burns but it helps the next day

Putting salt on feels like hell but after 5 mins of it you’ll feel like you’re in heaven. Fastest remedy as well

I have chronic canker sores! They are absolutely so painful and have had them for 7 years like once or twice a month. I recently got my wisdom teeth removed and this has resulted in 4 canker sores. I wish I could just figure out what causes them in my body.
