Rescuers Get Wet During Seal Rescue

Huge swell at Cape Cross. While busy with a seal rescue, the OCN team gets caught off guard by a big wave. It's not a problem for the animal or the rescuers; they are used to the elements and getting wet. They move her higher up on the beach and away from the waves, where they continue to remove the fishing line from her neck. Next time, they will remember to bring dry clothes along! 🦭

Denzil, God love him. Naude and Dylan ran but Denzil just held on tight to his slippery seal.
He's had his fair share of water play these past few months.
Good rescues and I'm glad you were able to remove the two lines from Denzil's seal.
Nice gentle touch with that strap removal, Dylan.
