How I clean the Xiaomi air purifier fan (how to clean the air purifier and change filter)

Cleaning the fan is just as important as cleaning the air purifiers and replacing the used filters with new ones. For my case, the fan is fixed with a lid and in screws so it was not built for cleaning it easily from the dust that gathers there/ The dust can gather very fast and if left so, it will damage and make the air quality worse, as instead of filtering the air it will just roll in and out the dust particles from the dirty fan. The air is worse in the room and the insides of the air purifier, parts can also get damaged in time due to the extra effort it needs to work with and move the heavier fan.
The tools used are what we had at home: a cleaning cloth and 2 knives: 1 for fixing the fan and the other for cleaning the insides with the cloth.

I did what I could as I could not remove the fan for cleaning it separately. NOTE: I had the device turned off for both the thumbnail photo and also while cleaning it with these tools.

you should get one of those air compressor to blow the dust from top down (reverse wind). or get one of those quick dry chemical spray used to clean circuit board. They dry in seconds and won't leave oil residue on the cover or fan.

Wonderin why dust still collected on the fan? I thought dust have been filtered.

The upper grill in circle shape removes easily. You just need to revolve it in the opposite clock movement. Remove the grill and then clean all fan movement without any problem.

Why don’t you use a high power compressor it will remove all dust. But do it outside in the open area!

you can just pop the sides off after removing the bottom. you have 4 screws under the rubber feet. you will have the whole thing apart including the top in around 5 minutes. you can wash almost the whole thing. bottom, left, richt, front, back. start from bottom to top when removing the sides. use a screwdriver to pry the clips open from the inside. you do not need any prying from the outside so it makes no scratches
