I absolutely agree having the card reader at the front is an absolutely must; however I see and issue with cable management with all those cables at the front.

The one by Hagibis is better for storage. It has slot for full 2.5" sata and M.2 nvme drive, while Satechi with ssd enclosure only supports M.2 sata ssd

This device draws to much power from the USB-C port. It needs a separate power supply. I have one with a recommended M.2 drive and it is constantly disconnecting from my Mac Mini.
