What’s the benefit to using 1Password vs. the free Passwords Keychain for Mac in iCloud ?

A free password manager that is absolutely wonderful, that works for macos, ios, etc. Bitwarden

Since years, my VERY first app after clean install is Forklift. Syncs my iMac and MBP. Outdated free version in appstore, but does the job flawlessly. 64 bit btw.

Basecamp?! Really.... Somebody paid for that. Beside that good tips. Didn’t know the short cut for Things you mentioned. I will definitely try that out next time I hit my mac 💻

Replace Pastebot with Alfred. Alfred has a built-in clipboard manager and about a gazillion more features. It deserves to be on any top list of Mac apps!

I use BusyCal instead of Fantasical. BusyCal combines your calendar and task list into one app.

Just found your channel & appreciate. However for non-techies could you please write out the names of apps, etc. you suggest. Spellings are unclear when only pronounced. Thank you!

For me, 1Password is definitely the first (especially with all the long encrypted passwords I've made that are needed to set up all the other apps and log ins), Dropbox (which I'm hosting 1Password with) and iStat as well (geeky, but I love to see what my computer is up to as well). I have used Daylite for CRM and a lot of calendar and to-do things for business but I'll have to give the other ones you posted a shot!

I haven't used any of those apps, probably because those have monthly or some other kind of subscription. But the Paste app seems interesting except the fact of some third-party app managing the text that I copy (especially passwords, etc).
But I don't see any of the cleaning apps there such as AppCleaner, OnyX.. Or LittleSnitch. Those are a must, in my opinion.

Subbed. Well explained ...common sense and reality. I use just about all of these apps and they're top notch.

4:11 I Tried to like "Things" for many years I forced myself to find a way to use it... but it just is too poorly designed and lacks too many features to make it even remotely any good. I found apps that accomplish parts of a perfect to-do app, but never an all in one. I love how ZenKit can organize your Higharcy notes into a mindmap, unfortunately, that's the only good feature they have.

Mine is gotta be Bartender. I just can’t stand a crazy full menu bar!

Man, this is spot on. The exact same apps I install first.

Homebrew and the world of Unix is at your feet ... Don't need more clipboards working with MacVim. Passwords? I have a GPG encrypted text file. Todo? hmmmm I set up my own mysql database for it. The only App I have too, is these statistics on top (how was the name again?) Thank you nevertheless. Nice suggestions!
