It's also my favorite switch and I'll happily say it five times! 😊 I got the non-POE Flex 2.5G ($159) as I already have a Switch Ultra 60W ($159) that powers my cameras, APs, and two Flex Mini switches. With the UCG-Max, it's a perfectly elegant tiny network setup. No rack required!

I already have two of these things I like them so much! I started building my Ubiquiti setup last year and glad did it piecemeal because these were not available until recently. Have a Cloud Gateway Max connected to USW Flex 2.5G 8 PoE that is powering another USW Flex 2.5G 8 PoE for my security cams, and a Flex Mini 2.5G in every room. With the AC adapter I even have enough PoE budget for my U7Pro and U6Pro to complete my network.

Great video. I'm thinking of pairing this with an existing UCG-Max as I wire up my 1300sqft home. I may need more ports later, but this should do the trick for now. Unfortunately the 210w power brick isn't available in Canada yet, so I may have to wait, or run a ++ adapter for now.

Can I use a the flex 2.5-8. With out and other UniFi devices

The. Thing im missing, and whats holding me back from purchasing one is the single sfp+-port. I don't want to buy a aggregation switch for the three devices I need to connect via sfp+.

Plus. I'd prefer to have the power connection on the back. I guess they dont think people with server racks is going fpr this switch.

Hmm have ubiquiti upgrade the poweroutput when powering it with POE? I power mine with POE++ and it says 37watt. Pretty sure it said the same on ubiquiti's HP back when the switch was released...
