Elton mentioning how they were here 7 years ago really puts into perspective for me of how long I’ve been watching them. 32:54 DID YOU ALL SEE THAT MOMENT when Ginger's thermal camera picked up that one tree glowing BRIGHT ORANGE, while the rest of the trees showed up in the usual black and white? I’ve studied quite a lot about Japanese mythology. This really makes me think how in Japanese folklore, there are tales of "JUBOKKO" trees, which are said to thrive on human blood. In the folklore it’s explained that Jubokko are believed to grow in places where many people have died, absorbing their blood and standing out in eerie ways. The idea that such a tree could exist in Aokigahara and be captured on a thermal camera is.. chilling.. 😭
