Full article on Drummerszone:

With Roland's newest edrums - the TD-17 - you can create your own galaxy of sounds and effects. Every single item you get with these drums, you can adjust or change it. You can even make your hihat size 40" for some extended special effects. In this fourth TD-17 video-article, Michael Schack shows you how to import sounds, adjust them and even layer them on top of the sounds in the module. Or change them entirely. The TD-17 is your own orchestra, and you can do whatever you want with it.

In this video, Michael Schack gives you the ultimate rundown on how to upload, adjust, create and just play around with your own samples and the presets of the TD-17. The module works easy, and it gives you a plentitude of options for every drum, rim and cymbal of the kit.

#pushyourdrumming
A week after the launch of the TD-17 series in Los Angeles, we recorded Michael Schack again during his #pushyourdrumming tour in The Netherlands. We added footage of him playing with the preset songs as well.

not every sample will work with TD 17. You have to pay attention to the format and frequency of the files and convert them if needed. They have to be 44.1 kHz, 16 or 24-bit or the module will not accept them. The samples you can download on the internet vary a lot. I had about 30 sounds on my sd card and the module has rejected them all.

So Question? Can you manipulate How loud the Sample comes through? If I want to hear just Mostly the Sample extremely loud and have the Pre-Set Sound very low? So All I hear is mostly my Sample? And Also can I record a sample with a 🎤 microphone straight into the module? Or I must record the Sample on a USB or Memory Card?
Thanks 🙏
Please please let me know?

Hello, is there any sound version (snare, toms, cymbals) for sd card for Roland tm2 in file format: WAV (44.1 kHz, 16 bits, Stereo / Mono)?

Question: Instead of downloading samples I would like to see about downloading pre-tuned kits by drummer. In my first case it would be Bonham. I have the TD-17 module. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Problem with importing cymbal samples, is there no way to add the bell ride sound, lets say i have an edge sound, ping bell sound, and a crash hit sound on the ride. I can only seem to load one sample to the ride, not 3 like the roland sounds can do... Then also, how can we make a roland drum kit file like roland has for its full kits?

Can you provide links in description where you are getting some of your samples from?

I used to play on a Roland TD 9 and now have bought the TD 17. Is there a way I can transfer the old sounds into the new drums?

Excuse my ignorance but if I import a sound can I just use that sound or do I have to layer it with a internal sound ?

I am starting to think this kitt is nothing but trouble, i can not use the bluetooth for bluetooth headphones, ether the SD function says SD error or songs to long, Why can't i just stick a SD card with WAV format songs and use it to play along, why is it so effin complicated. It has a lot of features but nothing usable. What next, the USB is only for something that no one needs...

Here's the mahogany snare "bam, bam, bam, bam, bam!!!!" How about just hit it once or twice and let it breathe.

I can drum better than I can use the thousands of settings on this sound module.
