As a guy who recently started playing Soldier to get good with him, when it comes to Pyro I got 2 options

Or become the most patriotic thing on earth and attack the Pyro with a Shotgun or a Shovel

I play a lot of soldier and all i use is the direct hit. I constantly need to teach pyro's to stop thinking they can just reflect it back at me. A good majority of them just die an embarrassing death.
