been pc gamer whole life and last year i got ps5 and series x and i dont wanna go back.i just hit the play button and i know it will work 100% no need to fix drivers, windows update or game crashes. If i had no kids i would prolly be 100% pc gamer.

Definitely depends on the person, but between Online Membership Fees, Steam Sales, Not having to rebuy games every few generations, etc, quite a bit of monetary value is added to the PC.

Honestly I would argue it's worth throwing another $200 or so at the PC hardware is a fair comparison... but remember, you are paying up front on a PC... that console will charge you that extra cash over time in the form of online fees. $10 a month minimum adds up.

as a ex owner of a ps5, series x and recently new to pc gaming..its not even close. The catalogues of games, emulation, tailored settings, filters, upgradability, not being forced to pay fees to play multiplayer games online, multiple monitors..the list goes on.

Glad i made the move, shouldve done it sooner.

$800-$850 PC Build vs PS5 Pro. The pro with its disc drive and stand is around $800 so I think that will be a fair price range for PC.

As a lifelong console player who just recently got my first PC capable of gaming the #1 reason for PC Gaming is MODS!!! The amount of cool stuff available for games like GTA, RDR2 and many many others makes it worth getting a PC alone. I didn't realize how much I was missing out on until I found out about 5M, LSPDFR and other mods that just makes games more fun especially after you've played them for awhile. The mods in some cases make it like having completely new games.

Had a series x for a little while and by all means if you are strictly about gaming only its unlikely to build a pc around the same price to performance especially since you can find used consoles for less than 300 bucks now. However after building my pc I see the almost limitless bounds that you can do with one. Ryzen 5 5600 with rx6800 i have no issues playing any game at or above console settings as well as the crazy amount of other things i can do as well. Its an investment overall.

You are forgetting the 4K UHD BluRay Player that is in the Series X. As a consumer of 4K physical media, that is important to me. So that will add at least $125 or more to the cost of your PC.

I tried reading the comments, but there were a bunch on inaccuracies.

If the point of this video is to honestly compare and not just try to trash consoles, then these things need to be addressed.

1. Free 2 Play titles do not need a subscription to play. If you only play Esports titles, then the console is a very attractive place to play.

2. Most titles (including the ones in this video) have optimization options for performance over graphics (just like pc, although capped at 120). There are a lot of games locked to 30fps on the console (this PC could not play) that a higher end PC could run at 60 or 120 fps.

3. There is an FPS counter in the Fornite settings (not sure about Warzone).

4. Game pass core (replaced Xbox Live Gold) is $10 a month, which is the retail cost of a newer game and includes a rotating list of 25 popular titles and online mutiplayer. Gamepass for PC is $11 a month and includes a few hundred games, and all Xbox first party games (Xbox Studios, Bethesda, Activision, and Blizzard)drop day one on Gamepass for no addional charge. Triple A titles can cost $60 or $70 a piece on launch. Gamepass Ultimate includes both of those subscriptions with the same benefits plus a Perks rewards (free add ons for a few rotating games, deals on Discord Nitro, Apple Music/TV, Youtube, etc). For $20 a month. Its not just online pay to play. There is real value here.

5. Backward compatibility. The Series X/S plays every Xbox One title except for Kinect titles due to dropped support. It plays every 360 and OG Xbox title that the Xbox One did as well. But, the number of games it can play pales in comparison to PC when considering the PC can play mostly anything.

6. Mod support. Few Xbox games contain support for mods. Those that do have a very narrow amount when compared to the PC. I have played a ton of Skyrim on console. When the mod support came, it was fantastic! Then i would notice a really cool mod online and would try to download it only to find it was PC only.

7. Exclusivity. Since this is an Xbox to PC comparison, I will leave out Playstation and Nintendo. Unless it is an older title or 3rd party, there are no Xbox console exclusives. Every new Xbox Studios game comes to PC day one.

8. Grand Theft Auto 6. The last point I will make is that GTA6 does not have a launch date for PC. It will remain on consoles for an extended period. This will be the biggest game release in quite a while. If you are a GTA fan, this will be enough to entice you to buy a console.

I hope this was informative to someone. I really liked the video! Thank you for making it Toasty Bros.!

Xbox game files are up to 50% smaller than their PC counterparts. PCs have to be much more powerful as a result. It's a bit like comparing apples to oranges Or High quality graphics to Budget quality graphics. Or, you get what you paid for.

It might sound weird but if you play Spotify on the Xbox you controller doesn’t disconnect random bc when the song changes it keeps you connected connect.(so basically play Spotify and turn the volume off so you can’t tell you are playing music and the controller won’t disconnect) . Love the content btw

I also always mention to folks that it's useful for so much more than gaming, and the versatility and upgradability is huge!

But consols are great options if you're a set it and forget it kind of person.

Honestly I would just buy the 500 dollar PC because of the upgrade path later on which makes it more worth it in the long run. Not to mention there is many things you can do on PC that you just can't on a console.

A way to fix the issue at 12:08 is to either have a controller plugged in or before you start up Fortnite turn off the controller and start up Fortnite with the keyboard connected to the Xbox (pressing enter or space on the app). Also don’t turn the controller back on as it will do the same again if it turns off, hope this helps.

There’s always these comparisons of equally-priced PCs and consoles, but it’s worth remembering that most console players will still need to buy a PC anyways for other productivity stuff. So if you’d pay $500 for the console and even just $400 for a cheap PC, you can get a good gaming PC for the same $900 as the other two together. It’ll hold up well against the console and be a much better computer for the other stuff than any $400 PC would have been.

You gotta remember the series x was $500 4 YEARS AGO! Helluva deal if you got it on launch! I did and have been extremely pleased with it

Also I'm very impressed by the performance of my rx 6600, I get over 120 fps on everything and 120 on warzone ultra settings it jumps to 200+ sometimes. I have an aio coming in a couple days to replace my wraith cooler, my 5700x hates me for not getting an aio day one it's constantly going to 80+ Celsius when gaming.

I went the third route: Series S for gaming and refurbished laptop for everyday tasks and retro emulation.
Didn’t even have to reach 500...
