Experience the iconic Sail Barge Assault scene from 'Return of the Jedi' as it was originally shown in theaters in 1983. This video restores the scene to its original state, removing the CGI beak added to the Sarlacc and correcting the color grading to match the original theatrical release. Additionally, the audio has been meticulously restored using the 1983 35mm Optical Audio (from 4K83), ensuring an authentic auditory experience. This restoration preserves the historical and cultural significance of the original film, offering fans a glimpse of 'Return of the Jedi' as it was first seen by audiences.

Hey everyone! Just a heads up: I skipped the Dispute process and went straight to Appeal for this video. This means Disney has 7 days to respond. If they reject it, the video might get a DMCA takedown and I'll get a copyright strike. But don't worry—I've won all my Disputes, Appeals, and DMCA Counters before.

If this video DOES get taken down, no worries, it'll be back once I submit a DMCA Counter, as long as YOUTUBE doesn't get in the way... 🙄

Thanks for your support and understanding!

"Us fans" in San Diego heard from an ATV'r that "they were making a Star Wars Movie out at Buttercup Valley". So we all piled into out cars and raced out there to see it! Jabba's ship was HUGE, and we kinda saw the skiffs, Carrie on the deck, and Boba fly. We also got to talk to Mark through the fence for over an hour! Nicest guy ever!! What a cool experience! We went out there many times!!

Lucas should have never altered this scene. I find Han's original dialogue to be much better than "I can see a lot better now". Comes off as less sarcastic and more "I know I can't see I'm doing my best to help you". This holds up extremely well.

I would have killed to have scene this in theatres in the 80s.... what a rush.

You know, I think I liked the altered line of Han Solo saying “It’s all right I can see a lot better now!”. I wonder if Harrison Ford adlibbed that line but it ended up being altered in the final cut.

The sarlacc without that cartoonish beak looked so much better!

I'm still waiting for c-3po and r2-d2 on tatooine btw

I personally liked the beak because it gave the Sarlacc more character but that’s just a personal preference.

I also get some laughter out of Boba Fett’s death even if it is unintentionally so.

I always felt sorry for 3-PO getting his eye bitten buy that nasty Jabba pet (forgive me my fellow OG fans) but R2 rushing to his friends aid was and always will be a bad ass droid move😂

Return of the Jedi remains special in my heart from the original trilogy. I know most fans at the time were disappointed but it was my first Star Wars movie and still my personal favorite.

One of the worst things you can ever do - is watch one of the most anticipated films of all time - on a bootleg 4:3 VHS - on a 14 inch tv - one afternoon with the sun streaming through the windows - months before the film's release - instead of seeing it in a cinema.
