Nope. A lot of us are just becoming more INDEPENDENT and ditching the two party duopoly ALL TOGETHER!

Ah yes..."Biden has governed like LBJ and FDR", I must have missed when the public option was enacted, student debt was cancelled, Build Back Better was enacted and the filibuster was abolished.

How are we defining "extreme"? Are we talking about policy? Forum? Or the actions of individuals who call themselves left or right?

I'd rather Krystal talk to him... At least then there would've been some pushback to his dumb claims like "Biden is governing like Elizabeth Warren" and "bill Clinton governed too far left"...

The conservative author was pretty absurd in this. Saying Clinton, Obama, and Biden is too far and like they were FDR is sort of silly. I wish they were like FDR. :/

People voted for Obama as a *change* candidate and then got more of the same corporate political bs on day 1 with the wall street bailout. Nobody expected Obama to be a centrist that voted for him, but that’s what we ended up with. And that’s why we got Trump. This dude missed the mark on his analysis.

Did I just hear that guy say Biden "decided that he would run like Elizabeth Warren"? What a joke. Nobody thinks that. Saagar, you're better than this.

This is one the of few videos that they deserve a down vote for how out of touch they are about history and our politics.

When the U.K.'s conservative party is more left-wing on most issues than our so-called "Left" party (e.g. the Democrats), it's extremely difficult to take any claims of the Left going too far left too seriously.

You don't even have "Left" in the US by European or Latin American standards. Give me a freakin break. When I see the comments on this channel I wonder what the hell am I doing here !!!!

I like to use people like Joe Rogan who are kind of all over the place with their politics as the measuring stick for how extreme the parties have gotten. When Rogan says things a leftist or liberal would agree with, there’s silence in the mainstream media. The right aren’t complaining and the left aren’t acknowledging. When Rogan says something a conservative would agree with, the right cheers him on and the left crucifies him.

Both parties just do what they need to fundraise/keep their power and both are driving us into a post capitalism hellscape.

You can walk down any "Trump" voting neighborhood and not worry about being accosted. Can't say the same about the others. And I was a Bernie Bro in 2016.

LOL with this author thinking that Biden is governing like Sen, Warren. GTFO.

They completely dodged the question on if the right has gotten more extreme. Drinking way too much of the coolaid here

Man, this Matt guy is full of it. Saying that Biden is failing because he's "governing like Elizabeth Warren". That ain't it, bro

I don’t really see how this was a debate so much as a monologue and a single question about whether Republicans can show they have something of substance outside of the culture war to a conservative commentator.

These kinds of discussions are the result of the inability of our "pundit" class to come to terms with the *only* source of power in America that matters: the top 5-10% of the wealthiest Americans.

In the late 1960s, Nixon's campaign strategists came up with "The Southern Strategy." It's aim was to divide Americans based on racist dog whistle messaging and it succeeded. That approach to winning elections has been refined by the "right" and appropriated by the "left." Gun rights, abortion, reparations, trans bathrooms, feminism, and more have been, and are being, used to Balkanize Americans. Qui bono? The top 10% of Americans, who own our governments - at all levels - and who are turning Americans against each other while they pursue their authoritarian dreams of controlling everything.

That is why these discussions of left/right miss the larger picture and are ultimately pointless. America is more divided along class lines than most developed countries and it is the upper class that is the real enemy of the bottom 90% of Americans.

I’d have liked to see some kick back on almost everything he said after roughly the 12:00 min mark.
Maybe its just me, I don’t see a big difference in the impacts of Reagan’s policies vs Clinton.
And what ideological view did Obama have? Same shit different presentation.
Covert (sometimes not so covert) wars, wealth transfer to the higher ups, gaslighting on how a national healthcare system is too expensive, deregulation for Wall Street and Silicon Valley, expanding the security state, continuing Guantanamo, shut down one pipeline to support another.
In effect, Reagan through Biden, I don’t see a big difference.
This guy is the ideologue that he is accusing others of being.

can you guys please understand the difference between liberals/democrats and what "left" actually means? we have a bunch of people in this comment section who have NO idea what the "left" actually is when it comes to the international definition, not this bogus left/right dichotomy that americans think it is.
