I like the honest reviews by the What Car team. If something is below par or over priced they call it out, unlike some other car reviewers/channels. Well done folks at What Car keep up the great work you’re doing it’s much appreciated in an ever crammed market place. One thing I’ve observed is EVs have closed the gap between manufacturers. The prestigious manufacturer will need to really pullout all the stops if they want to stand head and shoulders about the mass market manufactures going forward.

Interesting review...needs significant updating though as the software is updated and I'm well over 6' and don't have any headroom issues in the back of the car. It's a very practical car and some great lease deals available against competitors.

I’ve lived with a ID3 for years and yes the technology has room for improvement but the touch button on the wheel works perfectly fine and accurately, you reporters are the only ones who have issues with them, if VW were to change them to manual one that would be a step back.

In the unlikely event that you do want one, the GTX is available for £44K as an ex-demo at VW dealers. I would still buy a model Y over one though, and I don’t like Tesla`s.

One very objective review. Up to now the only VW group's EV that feels worth its money is that Porsche Teekanne. ID4 definitely fells overpriced and Nr:5 seems the same.

I think I’ve found a positive about this car! The insurance group is actually not bad BECAUSE it’s a bit of a slow car. Surely that’s a positive thing, right? 😅

Until you have actually driven the car, you do not know what you are talking about.
I've driven about 6 SUV EV's over the past few weeks and the ID.5 blew them away. I ordered right away.
It is smooth, quiet and very very comfortable to drive. It is boring, yes, it is not the quickest...but it is excellent.
Everyone is jumping on the touch screen, But .I found it worked very well.
Yes there are newer cars out there with better tech....but they cant beat the 5 for easy driving.

Im glad they are making these! Since value wise they dont stand up against the benchmark model y, the blue book of these will be terrible, so i will buy one used, for next to nothing! Like our 16 nissan leaf

The Skoda Enyaq has a wider boot. You can fit large suitcases side-by-side, unlike the Q4 or the ID.4.

how many millimeters is it different and more headroom ID4? Somewhere it was said that 15 mm only difference? Not much difference, but that style ID5 is better. The luggage compartment is still a few liters larger in the ID5 than in the ID4
