Do you ever feel lost when listening to someone use a lot of jargon? Naval Ravikant addresses this issue, emphasizing that true understanding means being able to teach concepts in simple terms. In this video, Naval discusses how the most powerful thinkers, especially those whose decisions impact money or life, deeply understand the basics. He highlights Richard Feynman, a renowned physicist, who could take complex ideas and explain them clearly from counting to calculus.

Naval shares that Feynman didn't need to memorize because he understood numbers at a fundamental level. This allowed him to explain advanced topics through a logical progression. Memorization, according to Naval, is a sign of a lack of understanding. He believes that if you truly know something, you should be able to rederive it on the spot.

This video is a must-watch for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of any subject. Learn from Naval Ravikant's insights and strive to master the basics so well that you can teach them simply and effectively. If you can't teach it, you don't really know it.

This might be a myth: The "four pages" might be an anecdotal reference to his ability to distill and explain calculus concepts concisely. However, there isn't a well-documented four-page manuscript by Feynman that fits this description.

If anyone has "It", please comment of it!

If somebody can't explain something in simple plain terms then he doesn't understand it fully.

I'm a awesome doer but horrible teacher. I'm a master plumber and let me let you I feel dumb as rocks when trying to explain something. I'm also experienced at lots of other things like vehicles and carpentry.
I'm even now trying getting back into electronics and learning CAD and Python.
My biggest hurdle is english which probably explains my struggles on teaching/explaining. I had to use spell check 3 times writing this.
