Nietzsche and Nihilism | The Will to Power by Friedrich Nietzsche - Animated

------------------
------------------
Description:

What makes a Nihilist?
In the first chapter of "The Will to Power" the Nihilistic attitude is vividly portrayed by Friedrich drawing on his meditations and thorough analysis of the history of the moral interpretation of life.

"The supreme values in whose service man should live, especially
when they were very hard on him and exacted a high price-these
social values were erected over man to strengthen their voice,
as if they were commands of God, as "reality," as the "true" world,
as a hope and future world. Now that the shabby origin of these
values is becoming clear, the universe seems to have lost value,
seems "meaningless"-but that is only a transitional stage." - Friedrich Nietzshe

I love the fact you provided various definitions of nihilism, which, as you said, hinged on the previous one. It made the video much clearer to follow. You have not only helped me get a better grasp of the concept itself, but also understand the emotional and psychological turmoil I was experiencing when I first got introduced to nihilism

Overall, excellent video! Well done mate!

Thanks The Journey for your animated lesson on Nietzsche. Nice job. I have shared this on our INTJ Reddit page.

To be clear, Nietzsche did not think that the death of God, the shedding of our religion was a movement away from subjectivity towards objective truth found in rationality. For him, both can be faith or belief in something objective, and yet neither can actually provide any absolute truth because truth is in flux. Nietzsche's free spirit is one who is at home in the the storm, the ever changing reality, and knows that subjective experience is the only place we can access truth.

Hey guys, how's it going!

This one took quite the time to craft. Worth it.
