About The Ark:
THE ARK takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race. The first of these missions on a spacecraft known as Ark One encounters a catastrophic event causing massive destruction and loss of life. With more than a year left to go before reaching their target planet, a lack of life-sustaining supplies and loss of leadership, the remaining crew must become the best versions of themselves to stay on course and survive.

The series stars Christie Burke, Richard Fleeshman, Reece Ritchie, Stacey Read, and Ryan Adams.

Dean Devlin (Independence Day, Stargate) and Jonathan Glassner (Stargate SG-1) are co-showrunners and executive producers alongside Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan-Wilson of Electric Entertainment. Jonathan English of Balkanic Media and Steve Lee serve as producers.

I want to see this cause I'm in a science fiction drought but a bunch of 19 to 25 year olds running a space vessel, wasn't there a movie about this where the kids were given emotion suppression drugs. Anyway please no dumb teen drama cause the minute I smell a love triangle I'm checking out.

Want I want: The wold's smartest engineers/ scientist to act like rational engineers/ scientist to solve complex problems in the face of death. the best of humanity.

What it will likely be: Immature, anxiety-filled child adults with emotional baggage about everything conquer complex problems miraculously at the last minute of every episode.

I will definitely check this out though I am worried SyFy will cancel it before the first season ends. SyFy does not have the best track record in this regard.

Cancellation will be announced two weeks after final episodes, unless it’s dropped all at once, just won’t show up in next years schedule in that case. Honestly surprised SyFy has hung around this long, been getting mad “shell of a company” vibes since 2013/14. Does it even exist outside of a brand these days?

this show is surprisingly good. the plots are getting better and the characters are getting mature as the episode proceeds.
