2017 speakers have a more even tone. You can hear fuller bass. New 2019 speakers are a smidge louder, but missing a bit of bass to even out those scratchy notes at full blast.

I’m extremely happy with my 2018 version. I’m shocked at how powerful it is with only 8GB Ram. Plus the screen is gorgeous.

I bought the MacBook 2017 in June 2019 cuz I didn't want the Touch Bar and then the 2019 model was out and now I feel terrible :(
