Library Lovers Tag

I wasn't tagged by anyone, however this tag seemed like fun. I love my local library, but I have to have a list of what I want and where it is, before I go, or else I get overwhelmed. I'm not tagging anyone, but feel free to do it if you like. Happy Reading!

Questions:
1. How often do you visit your local library?
2. Are you the type of person who checks out more books than you know you can read or are you someone who only checks out the exact amount of books you intend on reading before they are due?
3. How old were you when you got your first library card?
4.Do you go to your library looking for a particular book or do you check out anything that peaks your interest?
5.Do you use your library to check out just books or do you also check out dvds, audiobooks etc.?
6.From what section of your library do you check out a majority of your books? ( YA, middle grade, adult, nonfiction.)
7.What is your favorite part of using your local library?

What a great tag! And great video, Edshara! 😍❤

Regarding Question 2, I always *intend* to read everything I check out, but I don't think I have *ever* been successful at it! 😉😊

Some of the other questions:

I go to the library once a week (usually on Thursdays!), but I visit the library's website and catalog a LOT more frequently, possibly even daily! 😃😊❤

I also cannot remember how old I was when I got my first library card. But I too probably got it in elementary school. 😊

I tend to only go the library to return stuff and pick up holds, rarely do I browse. That said, I ALWAYS check out the "New Fiction, " "New Children's, " "New Mysteries, " and "New for Teens" shelves: they're right up front where the holds are ready for pickup! Sometimes (most commonly from the children's display) I even find an interesting title or cover or a new book from an author I've read and enjoyed. 😊

My gosh I loved your number 7 answer soooo much! Programming is such a huge part of what libraries offer to engage and empower communities, and they're not often talked about. Have your been to a library program? What did you think? My favorites are the ones that bring outside experts and partnerships into the library so community members can learn about relevant topics (like local history programs, etc.). Thanks for the shout out! I'm so happy you did this tag!
