Libraries are great places, but I'm very biased as I work in one. It doesn't matter if you're 2 or 92 there is something there for everyone, and not just books. Our library now even has e-books you can borrow via their online catalogue. The down side (as a small country library) is that we often don't have what people are looking for, especially new releases, you're lucky if we do have it. That's why I also think it's important to pop into your little local book store, we only have one so I like to go in occasionally and just buy something that catches my eye.

Libraries are the best. I go to my local library all the time and my sister also works at our library. The book I'm reading right now is actually from my library. But yes libraries are great and more people should take advantage of them.

Does your library have baby storytimes? Many of the ones in my area have a special program that caters to children under 2 that do mother goose type rhymes, songs, and fingerplays and then they have playtime afterwards for the kids and moms to socialize. I've been taking my 8 month old son for the last couple or months and it's really nice!

Others have said it but I do it! I'm a children's librarian who does a book babies program weekly. Lots of libraries do! Take your son so he can grow up in the library too!!!

Haha in my country you have to pay for libraries when your older than 18 and borrowing movies is never free. And I'm not 18 but I have a bad habit of returning books to late so because if that (returning books late) I also need to pay some money and I love keeping/collecting books so I never use my local library or my friend's favorite library but I'm glad that yours isn't that bad at all

Libraries are expensive here in The Netherlands. And they never have the books that I like. So I never go to the library(and I live right next to the library)
