Imagine insomniac decides to make a spider man 2099 game with a fully redesigned city. That would change things up enough for the next game. Same thing with rocksteady, a Batman beyond game would have been awesome for the next one

i LOVE how you avoid spoilers. As a pretty big spiderman fan and a HUGE fan of insomniac’s games so far. Yours is some of the only content I can watch just for fear of spoiling pieces of the game, even small pieces, because I get a lot of enjoyment out of those little things.

Spider-Man 2018 is one of the few open world games where I had no idea there even was a fast travel because moving around in that game is just so damn fun that I never bothered. Same with Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Edit: Except the one time you’re force to use it apparently. Good god, people.

Insomniac never dissapoints. I hope they will make another Ratchet and Clank game aswell. R&C 3 was the first game I've ever played and still is one of my favorite franchises

Dude honestly yes, I’m enjoying the story. But one thing I really didn’t like on the first game is that the enemy fights are VERY repetitive. Like it gets to a point where I actually let out a brief sigh before continuing because it’s just a lot of unnecessary repetition. There’s no variety regular enemy wise. I was hoping that the developers would mix it up and/or change that issue but unfortunately so far it’s the same. The Arkham games were repetitive too, but not to this extent.

My girlfriend, who isn't into superhero stuff at all, really got into the first 2 games just based on how fun the web swinging was. I feel like it really says something when a game like this can also draw in people well outside the intended audience.

one of the most annoying things in any of the previous spider man games was traversing through central park, without large buildings to anchor to web swinging was largely not a viable option. The webwings are def gonna help with central park

Super excited for Spider-Man. First thing I wanna do is just web swing around the city. Loved just swinging around in the first game, and getting from place to place. Then seeing how fast, or how creative I could swing around. The two things I am most interested in are Venom, cause he is one of my favorites. Then I really wanna see what happened to Yuri after both of the previous game. She had a really interesting story and what I thought was justified, not right but understandable. I wanna see where that goes.

I love how Insomniac makes the side quests and missions so fun to do. I really enjoyed doing the platinum for the last 2 spiderman games.

I’m so excited for Spider-Man 2, but I’m even more excited to get more info on Insomniac’s Wolverine project. They’re definitely one of the best developers out right now.

I have to say, as a soon to be father, and someone who’s wasted many nights contemplating meaning, Jake is amazing at his job. He really makes you interested in the great and bad games. What I’m getting at is that he’s providing value with his quality content day in and out and it’s agelessly (if that’s a word) appreciated.

Can’t help but notice the insane level of detail and quality they put in this game. This is what attracted me into gaming all those years ago. Reminds me of some insane gameplay demos from a generation ago, only this time around, the game is actually good!

Great review as always. Sounds like the mini-games and collectibles have not been that frustrating for Jake. Other reviews I read all say they are blah and that the open world doesn't have meaningful activities to do. Honestly, I got sick of side activities halfway through the first Spiderman game and was hoping they would dial it down a bit. Good to know that at least you can complete these in a shorter time; like the car chase example in the video.
