I just found (283, 88) yesterday, and I like it so far. Perfect size clearing for a base, you’ll have a dungeon literally on your doorstep. It’s not PERFECTLY raid proof, the enemies spawn way up above you on a cliff. They crowd the edge and push each other off, taking most of their health in the process. Gives me a good chuckle every time.

Don't know how raid proof the area is, but -34, -166 is where I have my mining base, good amount of iron with a bonus coal node as well as a skillfruit tree. And just over the raise is an encampment spawnpoint with two lvl 30 dungeons side by side next to it, and plenty of egg spawnpoints along the cliffside in the other direction.

can confirm that flying raids can happen without building walls and gates first

theres a spot right across a little rope bridge near the alpha chillet in the starting area that is essently raid proof it has iron and besides one raid they seem to spawn at the bottom of the cliff and because they cant path to the base you can just go and fight them with no threat of being attacked it also has a decent view and quite a few little things right near like a dungon ya its not a high level one but its fun to run thought sometimes

If you alter your world setting to have more stamina you can literally fly over the red barrier cutting you off from the world tree and build a extremely safe base over there with nothing but pure flat land, raid proof from any enemies, no need to deal with pals randomly fighting nearby and accidentally damaging your base or causing your own pals to get distracted from working, its nice for a main base and having your other bases be used for resource gathering

I made one of my bases at the seated Anubis Statue to the south (need heat resistance). Mostly surrounded by water with the only way to get to the base is a bridge (which I just put a gate on each end and tall walls along the side to create a nice murder hallway to deal with raiders). It also comes with a skill fruit tree.

4:36 see them 2 open plots just north of this location just before the desert, i use the big one on the left as my main base area, theres normally a camp there so kill everyone, free the pal set down enough stone floor around the cage so you can place your palbox without it interfearing with placing more floor later, hopefully you brought enough to also build a storage box, fast travel to witch ever base holds your building supplies and by the time you return the merc base will be gone and you will be free to build then just expand the stone floor to take up the entire base boundary, then build vertically with walls a min of 3 high before another floor you get the most space and the walls 3 high makes it so if you ever put alphas in they can move around without issue, even a alpha jormentide... 1 thing to note tho on my first world witch i cant play rn cause it wont save, at this same location there were no rss nodes in the center only 1 rock and 1 sulfur way at the edge, on my second world theres like 5 or 6 rock nodes and a ore with the sulfur node in the same spot.... this location is also raid proof, however if you want some excitment turn off structure degradation and you can build them a ramp, and actually flight capable enemies still come without and defensive walls being built but without the ramp they also cannot touch this base, my main reasons to build here, raid proof, more then enough area, next to the desert that has most of rss you need for mid and late game,

There are two amazing base locations I use not mentioned here. Both are big, flat, and raid proof.
The first can be very early game as it is right next to kingpaca at (29, - 446). It is a plateau that is easy to access, mostly flat, and no raiders will be able to get up, even flyers.
The second is on the far NW island at (-475, - 84). It is near perfectly flat, almost entirely bare of trees and stuff, perfectly sized for the base circle, and the weird double plateau it is on makes it impossible for raiders to pathfind to it. And it's basically beachside for a nice view. It's probably my favorite base location that I've never seen anyone else mention.

My mulitplayer main base is actually situated on the cliffside hilltop just directly north of the Chillet Boss across the rope bridge. Nearly completely raid proof, excellent ore node to mine, and there's a lvl.13 dungeon at the western side just below the actual base for easy paldium mining. The only issue we've had is Pal AI not pathing correctly sometimes and getting stuck in places, but its usually the large pals that get stuck and a quick pop in and out of the pal box fixes it.

Theres another perfect place for a main base, on the "forgotten island" the one right of the top-left sanctuary theres a spot on the south part of the island that has a perfect size for the base area (slightly bigger than the base limits), is not raidable because of the rock walls that makes the terrestial raiders all go to the same spot and stuck there never being able to reach the base and is completly flat with almost no trees and rocks that spawn in the middle so is really perfect to just build your home and relax, also have a beautifull close view of the big tree and also the mountains and is really relaxing, and also noting above if you want to build vertically. (cant give exact coordinates because im not home but is not hard to find).

There's a small mountaintop right behind Chillet, where the only way inside for raiders is the wooden bridge. It even has several ore spawns, but building place is limited there, so unless you're a god of building on cliffs, it's gonna look worse the more you clutter it. It can fit most things but for some reason Pocketpair decided to make breeding pens ABSURDLY HUGE (I mean 5x5 or 6x6 foundations needed to fit one) and electric assembly lines being damn long too, you're better off not expecting much endgame value from that location

I built my base on #6 and It's quite nice. Being so close to the desert makes it very easy to farm Pal Oil, and there's quite a few sulfur and paldium deposits down by Jormuntide's lake.

You should have called it top 10 base locations or something. "10 Game changing secrets you missed - Hidden Map, Best Pals, Base Spots & More!" of ALL that I only saw base spots :(

Don't mind me building my base right next to the spawn teleport 😂

I built my base on a flat hill top west of the first tower that has a dungeon down the path from it, the church with ore nodes behind it is just a short climb away & only one way in that is easily defended & I just walled it off.

My favorite is still my first base, the top of the rocky spire West of the beach just south of initial spawn. Had enough space to make everything important there through to end-game, and raiders just loaf at the bottom of the spire and can't do anything. 10/10, can recommend. Also, there's two egg spawns visible right from that spire, Rocky and Common usually. OH, and there's the dungeon on the beach right there, too.

Flying raiders do not require walls+gate to atrack.

Had them attack my coal base near the Anubus spawn just last night. Which had niether gate nor walls.

On the other side of the gorge from location 8, I found a nice area that has no coded spawns on it, and no raiders.

The somewhat triangular clearing on the west side of the central landmass across from the volcano is nice. I've never seen it raided. I don't know if that's a bug or something. neutral temperature so it's a nice spot to do breeding and hatching of various eggs.
