Re-uploaded to add more information about IV's, Calculators and mods. Also changed the thumbnail to avoid confusion. There are only 2 pals that can not get legend Passive, Chikipi and Jormintide Ignis.

HUGE respect for reuploading this with the new thumbnail that isn't accidently misleading like the previous one. Thank you 😊

*I think he is missing 1 idea:*
The child has a high chance of taking any property from a parent, but a low chance of taking everything from just 1 parent, while still having a chance to deviate from both.

The 3 gold + 1 gold isn't so much that 2+2 is better, rather that 1 gold is a bad breeder for multi gold period. A pal with a single gold _has 3 empty or non-gold slots._ Therefore it is significantly likely to pick some of it's empty/non-gold slots - failing to get a 4 gold.

If you pair a 3gold + a 2 gold or a 3 + 3, you should have a much higher chance of getting 4 gold vs staying with 2+2.

In my experiments, pairing a 3 gold with a 2 or 3 gold with overlap on all but the trait i needed had a very high chance of multiple golds and frequent 3 golds.

For example, 2 parents with just artisan have a high chance of spawning an artisan, because the 2 most likely picks for that slot are artisan vs the lower chance of nothing or some random perk.

2 parents both with swift artisan are likely to produce a lot of swift artisan - because it is deciding for that slot, and the 2 high probability choices both have it.

Does position in the slots matter? I don't know. I think it might, but when you have several things matching but in different positions, you are likely to still get both. Someone more determined can spreadsheet that out.

Finally managed to make the mod work. For those who are asking how to calculate the IV checker mod into percentage. Just multiply the value of the ones shown in the mod to 0.3 (for example 100IV x 0.3 = 30%)

This still isn't as mind breaking as ARK's breeding system, but I love the fact that pocketpair managed to condense the best aspects of it and still made it approachable and fun. Better still the fodder is actually useful and not just a way for farm prime, lol. This game has absolutely got me hooked and the best part is once you advance sufficiently you can actually scale back your outpost bases and free up slots for more breeding posts!

Man, you can play this game for years to get perfect versions of each pal.

As much as people say this is game is better than pokemon, I have to say pokemon breeding is definitely waay better. They need to include a way to have some actual agency. Not totally of course but make like a food or breeding pen variation that guarantees a parents stat is passed down or guarantees one skill from each parent is passed down. I've filled my palbox twice trying to breed frostallion noct

A 20 minute video just to state it's best to breed 2 x 2 gold passive skill pals together with decent IVs and to keep doing it until RNG is in your favor.

"Perfect IV's is easier than you think!" *starts off with a cracked out fenglope, not showing how he got it*... sigh

I like how you face your character towards the camera to make it seem like he's the one talking. Reminds me of the OSRS quest guides I used to watch as a kid.

A method I'm having decent sucess is catching a bunch of alphas (They tend to have higher IVs) and crossbreeding the pairs that have 30s or near 30s, until I get some pals with near 30s across the board, and breed from there.

I spent a lot of time breeding kitsuns trying to get one with the speed boosting passives with a decent attack IV. Let me tell you: the attack IV *NEVER* passed down together with either of the speed boosts. In fact, it rarely ever passed down at all. So how’d I get a kitsun with an attack stat and the two speed boosts? _I got a mutation that with a higher attack stat and the two speed boosts before I ever got the original attack stat to pass down with the passives._

*DO. NOT. BREED. FOR. IVS!*

It isn’t worth it.

i want to do this and ive breeded 2 great pals but then i remember ive already cleared all bosses and caught every pal. ive also cleared so many lv45 dungeons that im sick of them. i simply have no need to grind out a power house pal team. i think about this amazing team i want but then im like, what am i going to use them for? everythings already done.

Jormuntide Ignis can be made from Jormuntide and Blazehowl; which I assume wasn't the case before the Sakurajima update. I only started playing recently. Point is you can have a legendary Jormuntide Ignis.

Not sure if you know this but you can pass on moves too. Use lightning pals to make anubis and you get anubis with a lightning attack to counter water. Will be really nice when pvp comes

Thanks for uploading the proper thumbnail. I'll just shorten down what I said on the previous video. Too much checking for me since on Xbox we don't have that mod nor can we rename which is annoying and its a lot to hand type the calculations into the builder each parent or offspring. Also IV's aren't that necessary when you realise that player damage is more than any one Pal will do with the right setup.
