The Noland Flashback was pretty cool, which is surprising considering that it wasn't directly connected to any of the Straw Hats.

This is one of the best flashbacks in the series; instead of a de rigueur sad, personal flashback, this one gave us history from 400 years ago.

Despite this story is tragic, it could be a lot worse. Had the king witnessed the golden city, the greedy king would certainly start a war against the native tribe and would certainly scar the sacred friendship of two greatest warriors. It might be better for the two to never see each other again.

Noland and Calgara is one of my favorite friendships in all of One Piece

His flashback episodes were so random and unannounced that I thought it was filler at first. Glad I watched though because it gives the ringing of the bell more meaning beyond letting cricket know where the lost city was.

Noland is the Gol D. Roger of the past. You can notice Roger laughing during his execution but Noland crying - Sun and Moon

Noland is basically Marco Polo. Most people did not belief him and later on they even changed the book he co-wrote about his travels to better suit the church.

Such an underrated character. Corazon, Oden, Dr Hiriluk is very loveable and extremely well written but c'mon man Noland was always forgotten

Good video! I always liked Noland! I like the theories connecting Usopp to Noland. Maybe more of his adventures will come up in the story again someday!

Noland and Calgara's bromance I think is one of One Piece's best. I mean it was so strong his descendant Wyper would wage war with God Enel just to ring the Golden Bell to remind everyone that they were still there just like his ancestor did.

I never understood why Noland agreed to take the King there. It was pretty obvious that the King wanted to overtake the golden city with his army. And Noland was undoubtly strong enough to just say no and leave.. i guess its just another tale of trust in a bad king.
