Egyptian Megaliths you've NEVER seen before

In today's video, we're going to be covering a collection of (mostly) unknown Megaliths in Egypt that you've probably never seen before. Most of these sites come from Egypt's last Kingdom, the Ptolemaic Dynasty. This is the time during the height of Alexandria's Library.

The Cleopatra's Egypt tour will spend 2 weeks traveling across Egypt, beginning in Alexandria & ending all the way up the Nile - at Aswan! Sites you will see for the first time with me (meaning, this will be my first time at ALL of these sites too): The Great Pyramids, the Sphinx, the Bent Pyramid, the Serapeum, Karnak Temple, the Ramesseum, Hatchepsut's Temple, Valley of the Kings, Abydos & the Oserion, Dendera Temple, Luxor Temple, Luxor Museum, Edfu Temple, Sobek Temple, Philae Temple, Cairo Museum, & the ruins of Alexandria.

In modern day architecture, multi story heavy structures are not placed on solid flat foundations. They have levels beneath the surface level. That is how the weight is supported and how the builders can guarantee no shifting or settling. My opinion, I highly doubt those stones are a foundation, in fact I suggest those “foundation” flooring stones are a roof or part of a much larger structure beneath the ground.

You're very quickly becoming my favorite archeologist on YouTube. You just point out the irregularities or mysteries we aren't sure about. You don't lean too hard into alternative history explanations, just show that there are things we have no explanation for.

I breath of fresh air! Finally someone with a clear perspective. I was really tired of all the ancient lost high technology and this oder granit construction vs new poor limestone construction.
It is clear from this video alone, that new kingdom Egyptians were able to work granit and megaliths just as well! Great job, sir!

Egypt is such a magical, beautiful place. The people are lovely too. I went just after the revolution in 2011, before kiddos and a husband & mortgage changed my priorities. It’s incredible.
I had just read Jean-Pierre Houdini’s book about the great pyramids internal ramp & was stoked to see for myself the marks and notches in the grand gallery. You will come back with a whole new prospective!

Thank you Luke. Modern history has massively undervalued this culture and it’s remarkable achievements I believe it’s time in an age of shared access that the record can be put straight.
Welcome to the world of the master builders.

How many agree with me that India's ancient structures are by far the most mindbogling...

The single piece pillars at the temple of Jupiter blow my mind. There are six left standing out of like 24. They are a single piece and the base is taller than an average person. Definitely not built by the romans

I like how the stones that were shown on the ground had particular groves that can also be found in megaliths in south America 🤔

Really appreciated your comments regarding Egypt at the beginning of this video.

Around the north side of the complex, there are walls so old, they are giving back to the Earth and the mortar, between the bricks has crystal formations between them. There's what looks like a second Sphinx there too. It's the same exact foundation with water damage even more extreme than the Sphinx. I saw a video called: "The Second Sphinx" that showed some interesting things off the beaten path near the pyramids. They are finding more things all the time lately. I can't wait to see what they find next. Thanks for sharing with us. 😊
