I always set mine with newspaper folded in half and adjusted it to cut one leave one

Good to see there is a chain guard. Wouldn't want there to be an unsafe condition near the whirring blade machine.

Golf courses still use reels. And thare is a proper reel grinder to sharpen them. He jest did a back lap.

That Briggs looks closer to 50 years old based on the similarities to my kohler k series in my ford lawn tractor from 1968. I tried mowing with it but needs new drive pullies due to rust so now I just pull a trailer around with it.

That dollar store screwdriver you're using. I have the same 2...and they've been amazing as cheap screwdrivers for 15+ years

I would have figured that was a break out the blade file and spend a couple hours chart picking it up but I never thought of using like a lapping compound

Kool mower your bedknife looks worn might want to replace the bedknife for a really sharp clean cut not sure what grit you’re using but try some 80 grit then finish up with 120 grit. 👍🏻 love seein old mowers still workin

That looked like it needed a bar adjustment especially since after sharpening it still had spots that wouldn't cut.
