@DavidManningvlog I've been mulling over the Smallrig AD-120, Sirui SQ75, and Manfrotto. I had forgot about this tripod until your video showed up in my feed. Great review, man. I'm going to pick one up. Just wish the max/min height was better, but one can only expect so much at this price. Thanks for the awesome review!

With an extra 10% off, I snagged this tripod for $450 out the door. Looks good on paper. I’ll report back once it’s shipped and delivered.

this video is how I figured out how the f22 stuff would be used. I'd love an in-depth video on the quick release gear. you may have already done one and I may have missed it

I'm comparing a few fast opening tripod (legs only).

Wondering how stable this is and if its worth buying as an investment, or to get something a tad better...

The other potentials;
- SCG SteadiFast HD
- Sirui SVS75
- Manfrotto 645 Fast

Thanks for the interesting video. I think whether this is a good option depends on your use of the tripod. Sachtler and Miller tripods are really excellent, and made for daily professional use. They hold up in all conditions, and keep going after a little rinsing and drying. And they are serviceable. I have a carbon Miller Solo-Q with a Compass CX2 head for years, and besides a little paint damage it still operates like new. It was expensive, but I have been happy with the investment from day one and never looked back. Sachtler Flowtech sticks are really excellent too, but less compact for carrying and a little less solid. Personally I prefer Miller heads (CX-series) over Sachtlers (FSB-series), as they are even better balanced and smoother. I am sure the Ulanzi-set would work well stationary, or for occasional use. But I think for daily use year in year out, you're likely to be better off with one of the big brands. For stationary shots, a cheap aluminum tripod (I like the Sirui Reporter R1004) with a normal ball head does the trick too for less than half the price of the Ulanzi. And you can also put a gimbal on a normal tripod, and use that instead of a fluid head for occasional use. For this price, iFootage has some compelling options too for video tripods.

So I got the NEEWER LL55 78" Carbon Fiber One Step Video Tripod with Dynamic Fluid Head. I never used it yet is it about the same as this or should I return it and get the Ulanzi?

David - Now I’m anxiously awaiting for you to show us how to attach that F50 square to this tripod to make the fluid head quick release.

I got the aluminum cuz it's 10.5 lbs compared to 9lbs for the carbon fiber one and like 40% cheaper

I’ve been looking for a pro level tripod so I’m not always using my peak design

no "post-credits scene" in this one! odd feeling.

I wish you'd cover some downsides or potential design issues for certain use cases for what would sound "neutral" reviews :/

Umm the difference is $1000.00 Come on David, you are good at math. :)

Looks like a more expensive knock-off of the smallrig tripod that came out a while back.

Its good but half flat sphere would add +1000% to the head's versatility... put it on a tripod, on a slider, etc... but only on a tripod, why...
