Just got Overbridge 2 and plugged in my Octatrack/Machinedrum via my interface and DT/DN/Heat via Overbridge, and was struggling to figure out the best way to handle the discrepancy between the latency. This nailed it! Thanks! :)

Why didn't you just record the audio via USB in Ableton..? no need to route the audio from Rytm to scarlett interface..?

Thanks for the video Halution! BTW I think I messed up with the latest upgrade of my Rytm MKI... I did not backup my projects but upgraded to 1.45 anyway. So now I don't have Overbridge but got the double VCO. It seems that if I decide later on to downgrade, I will loose my projects! just to be sure, what's the OS version on your Rytm?

Planning to master five STEMS via my Analog Heat thru Overbridge, and then bring them back into Ableton in sample accurate fashion . Im guessing i could use a similar workflow as you did here.
Or maybe i'll need a different approach !?!

Hi Halution, I missed your videos.
A question.
Once I find the delay and keeping the same buffer settings if I save the set I find it all right or the delay can vary and must be reset?
You also use the machines together with loops or parts written on live, would this be good to process everything with master effects (compressors, equalizers) or usually use stand alone machines?

what I don't get about OverBridge is that you're instantly sacrificing the Elektron sequencer right? P Locks in particular, I just don't see the advantage, you're effectively turning a powerful piece of kit into a soft synth or am I missing something?


For my use I can only see OverBridge being needed is to send the Analog Four's tracks to be recorded for adding to my final track in Ableton.

I read over a 100 posts and checked the same amount of videos and finally you have answered my question, and guess that is actually the only way to solve this. THANK YOU ! Really, so much.
Its kind of silly to think that one would not use an audio interface together with OB. Do you find that you can usually trust these settings and dont have to redo the this check on every recording?
Also did you find another better way of working with the latency diff.? How do you manage the latency when monitoring through Ableton?
