You can use an instrumnet track - click on the little arrow top right in Overbridge and set up your outputs. Much faster. You still need to send to groups and audio if you want to record audio.

THANKYOU for this. Really awesome you figured this out. This helped me set up my Maschine software to record as well as Overbridge, which had basically the same problem - you can monitor all the audio outputs, they all display as separate inputs in the mixer when playing back, but when recording you get absolutely nada. I've seen some guides that show every other step, and then rub their hands and claim all is done, short of the crucial step of actually recording - I thought I was going insane because surely that's the point of having a multi-track set up via OB.

I've set this up before in Ableton, and it was janky (needed external effects) but not to this level, and had no problems recording. Shame as Cubase excels in so many other areas. The fact that you have to use groups and then route those to audio channels is pretty nuts.

Anyway it's done, so - beers on me :)

Hi, is this trick only available in Cubase Pro? I'm using elements and there the option to route a group channel to an audio track seems not available.

Thank you 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖😊😊😊😊😊 brother, I've had black lump of metal that I love sitting there on my studio desk and not able to use it in cubase the tears the pain, I won't say how long I've tried I can't admit it to myself, but I will say Steinberg and elektron are a bunch of wucking fankers.if you don't mind I do have a couple of questions, but I'm to emotionally drained, let me try to show you in emojis.
