Hello if OS_AUTHENT_PREFIX is set to null '', can you just use "MANN-THINK\MANN"?

Hi Manish,

can oracle external db user have compile or create rights for other schemas? if the schema is locked?

logining into external user from unix. connect sqlplus.

and then can we compile packages and procedures in other schemas??? please reply.

HI, MANISH..
I got error ORA-00924: Missing BY Keyword.
Why is so? you have not used "BY" keyword, but i have to put "BY" ...

Hi Manish,
Thanks for posting this video. I tried the steps and I am encountering a strange error which I tried a lot to fix but no fix.
My hostname is : A12306
Username: MJOSHI
os parameter: OPS$
I logged into DBA as SYS user and created the user externally. User got created successfully.
I granted create session privileges as well and grant succeeded. However when I log out from SQL and try to login from cmd using sqlplus /
It says "ORA-01017 invalid username/password" logon denied
Can you help me? Also, I am unable to login to sys user OS authentication
sqlplus / as sysdba It throws me an error ORA-01031 insufficient privileges
