I would blame the white lotus for Korra’s problems, since they found her she has been sheltered to the point she knows nothing of the situations outside the South Pole and told she is the avatar the most important person and they made it so she whole personality is being the avatar, so when she started to feel the world did need the avatar aka she had a mental breakdown.

To be fair, Kora had much harder things than Aang did as avatar for example Kora had to protect people from Tarlak and Aman, make sure that her uncle didn’t destroy the world, stop Zhaher from wiping out the air benders and world leaders, and stop Kuvira from becoming a tyrant. And many other things while Aang only needed to end the fire nation’s attempt to control the world and stop crime in the city and by doing so it clearly explains in the legend of Kora how Aang was not a very good father and was only truly proud of Tensin and while Kija and Boomie were exceptional fighters his favorite was Tensin since he was an air bender, so please don’t say that one was better than the other because they are both equally amazing shows

Why do people say that Korra is so bad? You know how many final battles Aang won? 1, and it was very uneventful, he just went into the avatar state, got some bending swirling around him, then followed Ozai around.

Book 1: he got hijacked and didn’t do anything to win, it was the ocean spirit

Wasn’t he 12 when he was trapped in TYE ice berg but then when he got out he couldn’t age his body so he is basically 112 years old

Kora was a great avatar! Her issues she handled were completely different and arguably more complex than Aangs. I feel like Aangs journey dealt with freedom of expression through militant fire nation, Koras problems were subversive and required differing sets of logic to solve the problem, and were a direct link to the waves left by the hundred years of fighting and the return of the avatar. Sorry if anybody didn’t like Kora but as a writer that’s my synopsis
