Good show Roger, I fish for snapper off rocks in New Zealand, to avoid fish swallowing the hook, I use circle hooks, that hook the fish in the corner of the mouth, 80%of the time. Saves a lot of undersized fish .

Definitely keen to see one about rock fishing safety. Particularly about the different types of pfd's you'd recommend. Cheers for the quality vids

Great fishing, its sometimes hard here on island as fishing is 24/7 all year long, fish are very, very clever here, so fishermen have be more extra clever to catch anything, I see you already using all the skills we using here on island, and still here it is very hard to catch fish if the sun is up... early morning and getting dark is only good chance to catch fish, but sometimes if there's storms, it brings huge big tree logs and huts from Indonesia and good untrained fishes, which our local fishers will deplete in a week, as mentioned 24/7 is fishing here with no off limits and restrictions restrictions regulations

Thanks Roger, what I learnt is that dolphin pt is a red hot fishing spot, and most likely, everywhere else in a 50 mile radius, I notice many rivers, lakes & estuaries. Which I guess is where most of your fishing is done . Definitely heavier line for hoicking techniquei s a must . Keep baggin' 'em, tight lines

Been a rock fishing angler for 40yrs cliff decend with ropes and using a 18ft rod one of the issues i have seen is that people do not come prepared no water getting into cliff holes that they cannot get back from either tide swell or smiply got into a spot without room to move if caught a big fish when bringging it up there are 100s of ways it is a danger to anglers who are not experienced

I live on Cozumel, an island in the Mexican Caribbean, lots of rocky shoreline. Often there is sargassum weed suspended in the water. Do fish feed below the weeds? Also depth, its hard to tell the depth of the water, how can I tell. There is so much reef, it is better to fish suspended, do you have any rigs for suspended fishing off rocks? Thanks for all the great videos.

Really appreciate the videos, Roger, especially as an expat who hasn't been fishing in Australia for ages. Brings back all sorts of good memories. Two questions - do you simply despise sweep as most seem to do? When I was a kid my dad and I caught them in the violent white water close in, and enjoyed eating them as well. Related question - do you ever resort to good ole cungy as a bait? Looking forward to a trip to Oz and some beach fishing with my brother!

You keep talking about mulloway but I have never seen you catch one. Do you have a video of one. To show us. I watch from Tennessee in the USA. Thanks for the entertainment.

another very enjoyable video, thanks, how about some tuition on making various fishing g rigs for various situations and fish types with breaking strain line recommendations for a returning fisherman that needs solid guidance.
