You definitely don't need the watch nor do you need a crazy good pair of shoes. 60 dollar Nike revolutions work for the gym and running if you're on a budget. And a watch is there if you're just trying to collect stats that you won't even need.

Time your rest? Lift like you have to, lift like you are being paid to do it. And don't lift in one isolated direction, im tired of working with new guys that are 10-40lbs heavier than me and they go to the gym but can't lift practically and gets winded and has to rest for minutes at a time. Grab a 60 plus pound weight in one are and walk for a mile, switch then walk back. Like seriously it's like yall can bench 300lbs but have lower backs weaker than our 130lb guys
