13 For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe. 14 For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, just as they did from the Judeans, 15 who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God and are [d]contrary to all men, 16 forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins; but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.

Yes kind Sir...some Traditions are Not a Dirty Word. But MOST are sadly. Because...

Today...most of this world are leaning to atheism. Sad, but OH so True. And as each day goes by; it gets worse and worse. Thus, I would say: that every church in this world; is in a "state of Apostasy", more or less. Oh yes.

And just before the "Great Tribulation" commences; EVERY church WILL be totally Apostate. And that is why there will be a GT. And why Jesus' warnings in Rev 1-3...So sad. And Jesus' wrath...

...WITH mercy...to the "Born Again's" in the 1st half of the Great Tribulation! And His wrath with OUT mercy to the "Non" Born Again's in the 2nd half of the GT.

But we must remember: that we (Born Again's) WILL be resurrected from this world forever (at "Mid-trib"). But then Jesus' wrath with OUT limit; will punish EVERY Non Born Again on this planet for 3 and 1/2 half yrs; of the last half of the Great Tribulation.

So be ready Born Again Christians (most Christians are NOT Born Again! SAD but true!) for Jesus said this...

Matthew 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation (not back then---but now He meant) shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

...In any case kind Sir, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

Today the most rampant problem in the church is not traditions of man but people claiming that God's law's are traditions of man and claiming that you can only be saved if you specifically disobey God's laws. There is a false Doctrine going around that Jesus came to rebuke the Pharisees for following God's laws when in reality he was rebuking them for adding to God's laws. Very few people read their Bibles nowadays and they think that it was Moses who carved the Ten Commandments in stone with his finger. They try to separate God's and Jesus's laws but such a thing cannot be done because Jesus is God.

Mr Piper, please, please teach and remind us to pray for God to raise-up 'more' workers for His fields as we are commanded to pray.
...From my prospective, there are only two 'obedient' workers left on Earth that are keeping Jesus's commands to His church.

For religionists - such as Christians - tradition is more important thatn the TRUTH. Otherwise - religionists - such as Christians - would have lived simple lives in peace - Love and harmony with all.

What makes you think life is of less importance than boastfulness? It makes no sense at all. Is this the way you raised your children?
